Geeze...what an open ended question. There are lots of store in and around the area - it just depends on what it is you are actually looking for. Some may specialize in regular or main stream comics (Marvel, DC, etc..) while other may carry more anime. And then you have those that mix video gaming in too! I think you're best bet would be to google it and read some yellow pages responses.

The Castle Law is one of the most interesting Self-Defense laws that exists in the United States but is largely derived from the English Common Law. The original Book 4, Chapter 16 of William Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England states that a man has the right to protect his house (also called his castle) and there is no possible way to lawfully enter the house, except for cases when it is needed for Public Safety (for example during a lawsuit). Americas Castle Doctrine version labeled as Law or a Defense of Habitation Law, goes a bit further, it designates one's place of residence (or, in some states, any place legally occupied, such as one's car or place of work) as a place in which one enjoys protection from illegal trespassing and violent attack and guarantees the right of the owner to use deadly force to protect his castle. The whole controversy here revolves around the fact that homicide is justified under the Castle Doctrine. As for the Canadian Criminal Code the laws on defense of property state that not more that necessary force can be used to protect the property, but no specific limits are specified. The Castle Law and the Canadian Criminal Code also give the same legal rights to any other innocent person legally inside the house during the incident. Not all the states support the Castle Doctrine. Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia have the Castle Doctrine, other states Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wyoming have their own versions of Property Defense laws.

In various states the law has different limitations for instances in which the Castle Doctrine can be used, and what degree of retreat or non-deadly resistance (if any) is required before the usage of deadly force. At first the occupants of the house must be in the house legally. If the occupants of the house are fugitives or are using the Doctrine to assist fugitives their actions are not justified by the doctrine. Generally the doctrine can be used against a person who is trying (or tried) to unlawfully and/or forcibly enter the Castle (home, business or car). Police officers can enter the house only after a valid warrant was presented to the owner, in other cases it is illegal. That's why in most of the movies, when a policemen in the U.S is entering the house for some unlawful investigation he can be shot on sight. The occupants of the house must also reasonably believe that the intruder intends to inflict serious bodily harm or death or intends to commit some other felony, such as arson or burglary. Also if the intrusion was provoked by the occupants of the house, the following use of any force may not be justifiable. The Castle Doctrine itself is a very interesting law mechanism that is definitely one of the cornerstones of the citizens rights in the United States, still this stone is very often used not in the way it was supposed to and even during the last years it triggered few controversial lawsuits.

Putting the Future of Books Into Picture- an Effort by India Today Book Club

Somewhere on old book shelf, somewhere in any corner of the house, somewhere under a broken table, this is the future of Books. Declining impact of book reading/ education on our youth is the biggest surprise for us. What’s disturbing is the steady phase of the lost dignity of books. Book lovers are like helpless people can’t do anything to regain the past importance of books. Literature means a lot for us, not now but before some time. Today, books are falling from the terrace of dignity and at the same time, digital world- technology is climbing the success stairs with a rapid pace.

Books are the most precious companions of our life. A pen with a paper is hard to find these days. In the coming time, we will find just one type of books i.e. e- books. Moving fingers on the keyboards is an easy task to do rather than writing on a paper with a pen. Notepads are like low dated things for present generation, it’s the time to think about Microsoft Word Documents. Our globe without books- we can’t even dream of the same but our coming generation is going to make it happen. The day with laptops in hands instead of school bags is not much far.

Reading essays, story books, and comics were the favorite tasks of childhood but today it is going to be cover up by video games, laptop games and many more technological things. We forget that Books are blueprints of our history but one day our books will become history. I think we will tell our children that there were books on this earth, made of paper and so on. That day will be the most embracing day for us but no one is having time to think about the future of books. Infact our future is also going to be distress a lot without presence of books.

First president of the nation, our politics, our culture, our heritage; all these things are covered with just a hard binding or cover. Books are jam packed with all required informations, thoughts and many more things. Art of words, pictures of success is what we gain from books. Books and book readers are having relationship of commensalism phenomenon; where one gets the whole benefit and other not get harmed or helped. But now a days; there is no relation between a book and its reader. There is dearth of book readers and crowd of internet lovers. Everything is having its own importance, there should be no comparison. No doubt, internet is useful; infact very advantageous but at same peak books are also having their hidden dignity. We need to search for the same. Efforts for this search are entirely beneficial for us only.

Books are for us and we are culprits of books. Don’t let the books to the way of darkness otherwise we will have no ray of success.

Protect eBook Readers with Screen and Case Protection

It is just as important to protect eBook readers with screen and case protection as it is to protect any other hand-held device such as your iPhone. As e-readers such as Amazon's Kindle and the Sony reader have become more popular, a wave of accessories has also ridden on that tide of popularity.  Among the more useful of these is a variety of cases and covers to protect both the screen and the case of these eBook readers, although some are more useful than others.

One of the disadvantages of the large screens that are now being used in many devices is that they are very prone to scratching, and this can interfere with the ease of reading them.  Since their primary purpose is to be read, then it is little wonder that people are turning to screen protection as an essential, and to case protection as a secondary protection. Generally both will come together, although it is possible to purchase them separately.

Screen Protection

Good screen protection has to do more than just protect the screen from scratches.  It must also be as unobtrusive as possible, and not just appear almost invisible but also enhance the properties of the original screen. Take the iPad, for example. This is not a dedicated e-reader, but a multifunctional device also intended for games and watching videos. It therefore has a touchscreen LCD display that is subject to glare:  not so good for reading eBooks.

The same could be true of other e-reader screens, so when buying screen protection you should not only be considering protection from scratching, but also anti-glare properties that do not interfere with the clarity required for DVDs and games. That is for the iPad, of course, and you might have different factors to consider for the Nook or the Kindle. For example, as it is described in the article "How To Enhance Your E-Reader With The Best Accessories", the Patagonia Book Case gives perfect protection for Amazon Kindle - this case is an eco-conscious recycled polyester shell, functional and fashionable choice (dbReaders).

There are several good screen protectors available for dedicated e-readers, among them Boxwave's ClearTouch on sale from $10 to $30, but you must beware of the very cheap protectors under $5 that might not offer very much protection - possible against fingerprints, but not much else! Two-piece screen protectors are good, in that one offers good anti-glare properties and will also protect eBook readers from scratches and dust.

Case Protection

Screen protectors protect the screen, but do not protect eBook readers from damage to the case or the electronics should it be dropped or banged.  Protective cases are available for most makes of e-reader, some made from aluminum and other from plastic or rubberized compounds. If you work in a harsh environment or where your e-reader can easily be subject to being dropped or hit in some way, the aluminum cover would be best.

The Guardian Case from M-Edge not only offers impact protection, but also waterproofs your Kindle to a depth of 1 meter.  It seals off all the buttons, but still allows you to read it and use the functions. This is due for launch very shortly (Spring 2010).  The same store offers a number of different cases in leather and neoprene for the Sony eReader, the Nook and also the iPad.

Leather cases offer a good quality feel to your e-reader and are available in a number of colors, and neoprene covers offer the option of bright, funky colors and are also available in 'universal' models that fit most sizes of eBook reader.

E-Reader Sleeves

An alternative to the e-reader covers are sleeves, where the reader slides into the sleeve so that it is fully protected with just one side open. They suffer the disadvantage that the device is taken out of the sleeve when in use, and is therefore no longer protected, but the advantage is that it is offered more protection than a case when not in use.

The penalty for not using some form of case protection is that an accident can result in you losing the entire contents of your e-reader, and unless you have a back-up on your computer then you could lose a significant amount of money. Also, the lack of screen protection could end up with your eBooks being very difficult to read because large numbers of tiny scratches will scatter the light and make the screen appear very dull to the extent that it can become unreadable.

You should protect eBook readers with screen and case protection to maintain their clean crisp appearance.  The cases and covers are easily replaced at low cost, but not the original screen and not the e-reader itself - so don't compromise your device and its contents for the sake of a relatively small amount of money.

Credit Repair Kits - E-Books To Clarify Your Gobbledegooks!

There are still people in the world who believe in doing things by themselves.

What about Credit Repair ? My credit rating was mud. And I wanted to help myself, by finding a self help credit repair kit. I knew I was not alone. So began a search for a self help credit repair kit that would be easy for me to use. I found thousands of them, books, cds, dvd, videos, and so on. But a self help person like me likes to peruse it slowly and chew it over and then act.

I was confused with the jargon of accountants and risk analysts. My neighbor who was pouring over a similar copy headed with that same book to the checkout counter! That should explain the diversity of people who use self help kits.

Thus began a search for a book (meaning all other media as well) which provided self help credit repair kit, both for the layman and for the initiated.

I searched extensively on the internet,and read some pieces that offered free samples, but to get right into the heart, required subscription up front. That put paid to it. It was just a flash, and I must have clicked on it, and it took me to a site called Amazon.com where I discovered a book called Credit Repair Kit, and it was available for a dollar. Well, I could certainly spare that.

Books are a common feature in today's fast moving world. It is quite difficult to find someone who has not seen, touched, and read at least one book in his or her lifetime. Today, authors write books on nearly every subject be it arts, science, commerce, history, literature, poetry, and other contemporary subjects.

Publishing and printing of books has become easier and more widespread since the invention of the printing press. Earlier, books were copied and written by hand, making books expensive and rare. Let us travel a little back in time to discover the journey that books have taken since first known to humankind.

History:

The word 'book' comes from an Old English word called 'bo-c". According to the popular site thefreedictionary.com, a book in modern terms is "A set of written, printed, or blank pages fastened along one side and encased between protective covers."

The early Mesopotamians wrote books on clay tablets. The ancient Egyptians wrote on papyrus rolls in Egypt as early as 3000 B.C. In China, bamboo strips tied together with chords served as books. These dated back to around 1300 B.C. In ancient India, seers and sages wrote ancient religious texts on palm leaves – nature's paper. These early writers would preserver these books for posterity and hand them down from one generation to another for preservation and dissemination of knowledge.

By the 19th century, printers could no longer meet the demand for books by hand printing. The printing press and the moveable type press, attributed to Johannes Gutenberg, changed the scenario, thus bringing the cost of books down to a considerable level. Johannes Gutenberg is also credited with printing the first real book - the Gutenberg Bible, using the movable type printing press.

Large presses followed this invention, thus making it possible for larger books to be printed. Further advances were made during the mid 1800s. For example, the invention of the papermaking machine, binding machinery, the cylinder press and the linotype machine made it possible for books to be printed in large numbers. In modern times, books are printed using a number of sophisticated processes, which require special attention out of scope of this article.

Classification of Books:

Books are classified into various types according to their content. A popular segregation is fiction and non-fiction books. Fiction books contain largely fictitious material, such as novels, which are the most common form of fictional books. Typically, novels consist of a plot, setting, themes, and character.

Non-fictional books usually provide useful information as opposed to fiction books. A common type of non-fiction book usually found in libraries is the reference book. Other books can include handbooks, almanacs, encyclopaedias, atlases, instruction manuals, and others. School and college textbooks are come under the non-fictional category. Other non-functional books can take the form of directories, address books, phone books, appointment books, logbooks and diaries.

Another popular method of classifying books is by the type of covers they are provided with. Accordingly, they can be classified as hard cover and paper back books. While hard cover books have a stiff binding, paperback books have paper binding which are less robust and last lesser compared to their hardbound counterparts.
